EN 81-20 and EN 81-50 standards for safety and accessibility

Accessible elevators: EN 81-70 compliant solutions
The EN 81-70:2018 standard defines elevator controls, distances, dimensions, contrasts, and accessories that facilitate access for people using wheelchairs or walking aids. KONE MonoSpace® 700 DX, KONE MonoSpace® 500 DX, KONE MonoSpace® 300 DX, KONE TranSys™ DX, and KONE MiniSpace™ DX elevators are all available with EN 81-70-2018 compliance.
Vandal-resistant elevators: EN 81-71 compliant solutions
EN 81-71 compliance is available to protect KONE MonoSpace® 500 DX and KONE MonoSpace® 700 DX elevators in buildings subject to vandalism. Vandal-resistant solutions include materials and accessories that are durable, have limited flammability, and are water resistant.
Firefighters elevators: EN 81-72 compliant solutions
Our solutions for EN 81-72 compliant elevators include trap doors and ladders for rescue operations. All electrical and control equipment, their enclosures, and elevator operation in the event of fire meet the requirements of the standard.
